Grandma woke up to find that she had been eaten. It was intolerably damp inside this stomach. Acidic too, of course. In fact, it was the tingling sensation of her skin being corroded away that had woken her in the first place.

“I wonder who could have done this to me,” Grandma thought. “Well, at least I haven’t been digested yet.”

She then pulled out the knife she kept in her stocking and cut herself out of the belly of the beast. When she was out, she found that the beast, a wolf it seemed, had stayed in her bed. How odd.

“Oh my, Grandmother,” said Little Red Riding Hood. “What big . . . uh. Um. Hi, Grandma. I’ve brought you some flowers.”

Grandma... is this a common occurrence? Do you often wake up to find that someone's gone and eaten you when you were asleep?

Nice piece! Certainly an interesting twist on the old tale, eh?

Maybe try modifying it a bit to sound a bit more doddering and/or cranky. "I wonder what rapscallion's done this. This simply won't do!"
